Most frequently asked questions

Do you need to install an app?

No. Each guest freely chooses how to access Eventer: the web page, with no installation at all, on computer and smartphone; or, for a more complete mobile experience (full screen, notifications, multiple saving…), the app (iOS and Android) or the PWA (Android). We explain the differences in this article.

What is the Live Show?

The Live Show is the enhanced version of the Live Movie: it's the link that displays, in real time on your screen, all the content from the relevant Eventer album. It's a paid option (see the pricing page).

What's the difference between the Live Movie and the Live Show?

Both display guests' photos and videos live on screen, newest first. The Live Movie is free: a simple display, one item at a time, with an Eventer ad every 20 images. The Live Show is a paid option: a dynamic scrolling wall, ad-free, that you control from your smartphone (speed, number of rows, animations, colors, live announcement text, highlighting of key moments or sponsors). Do you need internet for the Live Show?

Yes. The Live Show is a web page that streams all your album's content, so an internet connection is required (Wi-Fi, 4G/5G hotspot…).

Can the Live Show be replayed several times?

Once generated, the Live Show is available for life, just like your Eventer albums. You can watch it again as often as you like 😀

How long is the Live Show valid?

The Live Show is tied to an album, whatever its duration, and it stays available forever!

How do I create an account?

It's automatic: when you join an event via an invitation, Eventer offers to create your account. You can also do it anytime by tapping the profile button. Your account is then reusable for all your events.

Is an account required to join an event?

No. You join an event via the invitation link or the QR code, with no account required. Creating an account is offered (handy to find your events again and enjoy all the features), but you can take part without one.

How do I log in to Eventer?

Three options: via Facebook, via Google or with an email address.

… with Facebook?

Logging in via Facebook reuses your Facebook profile photo and name: your Eventer profile is ready right away, with nothing to fill in.

… with Google?

Logging in via Google reuses your Google account photo and name: your Eventer profile is created in an instant, with no password to remember.

… with email?

Enter your email, choose a password and a nickname to create your Eventer account. You can reuse it for every event, add your profile photo and edit your information anytime.

How do I change my password?

In four steps: "Log in by email" → "Log in" → "Forgot password" → set your new password 😉

How do I delete my account?

How do I invite a guest before the event?

The "Invite / Share" button sends the invitation link to your album to the people of your choice, through the channel you want (WhatsApp, email, Messenger…). Your guests then go straight to the dedicated album.

How do I invite guests on the day of the event?

On the day, display the QR code (on a screen, a poster, the tables…) or share the invitation link on site: your guests join the album in a single scan.

Can I invite a guest after the event?

Yes. If some guests didn't join the album on the day, simply resend them the invitation link, or let them scan the QR code to find the album and add their content.

How do I scan a QR code?

On iPhone: point your camera at the QR code, a link appears; tap it to be redirected to the album. On Android: via a QR code reader app, or directly from Eventer.

How do I share a photo?

Tap the photo in Eventer, click the share icon below it, then choose the app to share the content with.

Can I add photos from a computer?

Yes, via Eventer's web page on computer.

How do I send photos from a camera?

Two options for photographers: either the camera connects to a smartphone, or you insert the SD card into a computer to import the photos via Eventer on computer.

Personalized Filter or Pro Filters: which one to choose?

Both customize the filters applied to photos taken with the camera and the photobooth. The Personalized Filter is created directly in Eventer, with no software or graphic skills (frame, color, text) — ideal for weddings, birthdays, family parties. Pro Filters let you import your own visuals (transparent PNG: logo, illustration, several filters, background image) and finely control the photobooth effects — for a polished or corporate result (seminar, product launch, festival). How do I add text?

After taking your photo, icons appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap "Aa": text appears on the photo. Tap the boxed word at the top center to change the font style.

How do I add accessories?

After taking your photo, tap the glasses/moustache icon at the bottom of the screen: all the accessories appear on the left. Have fun!

What is the Eventer Photobooth, and how do I make it a success?

The Eventer Photobooth replaces the paper photo booth with instant digital sharing: photos and animations (accessories, faceswap, background change, effects…) are added straight to the album and can be liked and commented on by guests. It works on smartphone, tablet or computer (the smartphone offers the best quality). A few keys to success: neutral, well-placed lighting, a stable stand, themed décor and a reliable internet connection. Combined with the Live Movie/Live Show and the After Movie, it brings your event to life from start to finish. Make your photobooth a success.

How does the Quiz work?

The Quiz is a group activity: the whole room plays at the same time from their smartphones, with questions and the leaderboard shown on a shared screen. It's part of your Eventer event (same QR code and link as the photos, nothing to install, no account). The AI assistant generates the questions in one click from a theme, a document or an existing quiz, suggests plausible answers, then fact-checks them on the web — all fully editable (5 to 20 questions, several difficulty levels, most languages). The smartphone acts as a controller (4 buttons) and the score isn't affected by network quality. Nailing your quiz.

What's the resolution of photos shared on Eventer?

Eventer keeps your content in Quad HD (1440p). For higher quality, the Full Resolution option is available — see the pricing page.

How do I leave an album?

Open the album in question, tap the ellipsis at the top right, then "Leave the event". Note: the creator can't leave their own album.

How do I find content from one specific guest?

Tap the magnifying glass at the top of the album.

How do I correct the event date?

You must be the creator of the album. On the album, tap "Configure" at the top right, change the date and time, then save.

Can I print photos collected in Eventer?

Yes: save the photo to your smartphone or computer, then print it.

How do I change the Live Show text?

You must be the creator or administrator. On your album, tap "Live Show" at the top left, then "Live Show text", and enter the text you want.

How do I increase the display frequency on the Live Show?

Tap a piece of content, then the three dots at the top right, then "Live Show property", and adjust the desired frequency with the rotation slider.

How do I remove photos from the Live Show?

Tap the three dots at the top right of the photo, select "Live Show property", drag the rotation slider all the way left (Never), then save.

What does Eventer do about GDPR?

Eventer is GDPR-compliant. On opening, a series of prompts asks you to authorize access (gallery, camera…). We never use our users' data for commercial or advertising purposes; it is protected on our servers located in Europe.

Is there a limit on the number of guests or photos per event?

No! No limit on users, content, guests or albums created. Enjoy it, it's free! (1 event = 1 Eventer album.)

What's included in the free version?

The free version of Eventer includes: an unlimited number of events, photos and videos per event, and guests per event, plus the Live Movie (the free version of live projection).

What are the paid options?

Eventer's basic use is free and unlimited. To go further, options are available:

  • Live Show: stream photos and videos in real time on a big screen to liven up your event.
  • Full Resolution: keep your photos in their original quality and add longer videos.
  • Personalized Filter: create your own filter (frame, color, text…) for the camera and the photobooth.
  • Pro Filters: import your own filters and backgrounds (logo, illustration…).
  • Graphics fee: have our designer create your filter.
  • Banner Plus: customize the event banner and link an action to it (PDF, web page, camera…).
  • Real-time AI Moderation: automatically block inappropriate content.
  • No Ads: remove advertising from your event.
  • Quiz: liven up your event with an AI-assisted interactive quiz.

How long is an option or a licence valid?

An option (or a Premium Licence) bought for an event is valid indefinitely, but for that single event: once purchased, it applies to that album with no time limit.

Is there a way to buy options in bulk (for several events)?

Yes. If you organize events regularly, choose a 6-month or 1-year licence: it gives access to the options (or the Premium package) across all your events during the chosen period. It's the ideal formula for professionals and regular users. Details on the pricing page.

What is the Premium Licence and what does it include?

The Premium Licence brings together, in a single package, a set of options and services for an event with no compromise: Live Show, Full Resolution / Filters, multiple administrator accounts, Banner Plus, choice of After Movie music, support and advice, and removal of advertising. It comes in a Private Premium version (private events) and a Premium Pro version (corporate events). See the pricing page.

What is Full Resolution?

It's an option that lets you keep your photos in their original quality. It also allows you to add longer videos (up to 30 minutes, versus 30 seconds in the free version). See the pricing page.

What is AI Theming?
